We were all given a gift from God you know. We don’t get to choose it and for some of us that’s a hard, horse pill to swallow. We often waste time wishing we had someone’s else gift. I’ve heard people say things like, “I wish I could sing like her” or “I wish I could paint like him” but they don’t realize  God has a special and unique gift and plan for THEIR lives. Don’t ignore your talent because you desire another’s or you don’t feel like your gift is good enough. That’s like telling God, “I appreciate the gift you gave me but it’s just not what I wanted”.

If you ignore your talent you will never reach the greatness that our Creator set for  you reach. You are wasting your time if you don’t focus on what YOUR gift is. Your concentration should be on developing your gift to your fullest potential then sharing it with the world. There is no gift too small. I repeat, there is no gift too small. Like lyricist, Kendrick Lamar said, “Even a small lighter can burn a bridge.” Are you a giver, nurturer, or have unbreakable faith? Do you love sharing the word of God? All of these are gifts. Maybe you can’t belt out a note like Tamela Mann or bring as many people to Christ as Billy Graham but God expects you to use what he gave you.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17).

If you believe in the Word you should believe in your gift no matter what it may be.
