Did you know I’m a lion? Haha I turned 28 this past Friday and I had an amazing day! I was touched that my supervisor and co-workers all got together and got me a gift. That night, I thought I was just going to eat a little dinner with my boo and ended up getting a nice surprise when I saw my family and friends in the restaurant! It’s cool to see how people who love you will go out of their way to make you feel special. I had a great b-day:) Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Cute and casual for din din. I got these printed pants from www.hautesheek.com

I was surprised when the waiter brought out the cake!

It had 82 instead of 28. I hope God blesses me with many mo’ years!

Saturday afternoon I walked downtown with my boo boo, John. I saw this cool gazebo at the MS Museum of Art.

On Saturday my friend had a gathering on the rooftop of hIS apartment building. #OnTopOnTheWorld #LeoNation

I couldn’t help having a mini photoshoot. Excuse the bra action.

Overall, it was a great weekend. The church I attend here, New Life, had their anniversary and it was a great word and celebration! I refuse to  dread my birthday because their is such an emphasis put on youth in our society. I hate it when women lie about their age. If you look good and feel good what does it matter. If you ask most people would they want to go back to 18 they would say, “No”. If they say, “Yes!” it’s likely they’ve fallen off and let themselves go or they’re not happy with where their life is but all of those things can be changed…if you want them to. Youth is a state of mind. Be fun-loving and giving. You don’t have to be a teen. I live by the motto,

“You can’t help getting older but you don’t have to get old.”
