i CUT MY HAIR LAST WEEK BECAUSE I DIDN’T LIKE THE WAY THE ENDS WERE FEELING. THEY FELT DRY AND DIDN’T LOOK AS THICK AS THE REST OF MY HAIR. MAKE SURE YOU GET RID OF ANY DAMAGED OR THINNING HAIR THAT YOU MAY HAVE. I KNOW Y’ALL ARE THINKING, “HEFFER, IT’S EASY FOR YOU TO SAY THAT BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE HAIR OF THREE PEOPLE PUT TOGETHER” BUT I UNDERSTAND WHY IT’S HARD ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR FOCUS IS GROWTH.  I EVEN HESISTATED A LITTLE BEFORE I CUT MINE BUT I HAD TO QUICKLY CHECK MYSELF. I HAD TO REFOCUS ON THE HEALTH OF MY HAIR; IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT LENGTH. I THINK MANY OF US WOMEN EQUATE LONG HAIR WITH FEMINITY SO THE ACT OF CUTTING OUR HAIR CAN FEEL LIKE WE’RE LOSING A LITTLE PART OF THAT. I KNOW YOUR FOCUS MAY BE RETAINING LENGTH BUT THINK ABOUT THE HEALTH OF YOUR HAIR. DON’T JUST HOLD ONTO IT FOR THE LENGTH.

THE HAIR THAT I GOT RID OF. THEY HAD TO GO! MOST OF THE HAIR LOOKS PRETTY THICK BUT WHEN I COMPARED IT TO THE REST OF MY HAIR, I WAS THINKING, “NO MA’AM HONEY!”. MY HAIR IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE SAME THICKNESS FROM ROOT TO TIP.

AFTER I CUT MY HAIR I DEEP CONDITIONED IT, ADDED GIOVANNI’S LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER,  SEALED IT WITH OLIVE OIL AND THREW IT UP INTO THIS BUN.

DO YOU THINK IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO SNIP YOUR ENDS?!
