Sheer pieces are not only trendy but the heat won’t be an issue. No one likes a musty gal lol.

You can still be edgy and cute in the summer months.

The pairing of the lace and distressed denim skirt is a fab combo. Be bold and mix hard and soft pieces.

Matchy-matchy outfits are a new fave of mine. Adding a funky shoe is the perfect accent.

Don’t be afraid to mix and max patterns. It creates a funky-fun look!

The ombre dress is so purty. You can never go wrong with the boho chic look.

High low tops and shorts are a hot new trend. I likes!

Small purses are a cute must have accessory.

You can never go wrong with a printed dress and fedoras give any look a little extra personality.

You can still wear long pants and be cool in the summer. Just make sure it is a light weight fabric. I’m lovin’ the bold print!

I heart this look. Baby blue is my weakness. High-waisted shorts are still in for the summer. I don’t see this trend leaving anytime soon.

I must admit the hardest part of this experiment was finding a natural-haired doll so I decided that I would transform a straight-haired doll to kinky-haired. It was fairly easy to do. First, I wrapped small sections of hair around pipe cleaners I found at Wal-Mart.

Yeah, the doll was balding in the middle.  The doll had pig tails but I took them down and found no hair in the center. It was to be expected…they were cheapo! I got found them at Fred’s Discount Store. Anywho, next, I boiled hot water in a pan and dipped the doll’s head in.

Ughhh…I have the veiniest hands in America. I then let the doll’s hair to air dry.

Next, I took the pipe cleaners out.

I then put the doll’s hair in pigtails.

I later added Marley braid hair that I cut so it would be the same length as the straight-haired doll.

I teased the hair to make it look more natural.

The final result. For some reason the video didn’t pick up how the hair really looked.

Understanding Who You Are!

A wise woman grows in understanding who she is…

A woman who knows how God sees her is confident in her identity. She knows God made her just the way she is and for specific tasks. She does not compare the inside of herself with the outside of another woman.

She makes the effort to grow in her knowledge of the truth of what God says about her. A woman who understands who she is in God’s sight knows she is:

Accepted  God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:5) This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

Secure And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)

Significant  You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.(John 15:16)

Her identity is not bound up in what she has, how she looks or what she wears. Her identity is secured in who she is as a beloved child of God. 

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” -Ephesians 2:10

Read Psalm 139 and ask God to fill your heart with the knowledge of just how treasured you are to Him. Ask Him to help you grow in your understanding of who you really are!
